Ditto TV, India’s first OTT (Over-The-Top TV) distribution platform from Zee New Media (the digital arm of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), announced the addition of BIG CBS Prime, a general entertainment channel and BIG CBS Love, India’s first international women’s entertainment channel to its kitty. There has been buzz about the channel shutting down for a long time now. We guess those rumours weren’t totally false. Here’s why the channel won’t be aired any more

Imagine TV, a channel which was owned by US-based Turner Broadcasting System Inc will officially go off air today. And the reason behind this is low ratings and failure to meet the desired targets in terms of viewership and popularity. The channel was launched in India on January 21, 2008. It changed hands from NDTV to INX group a while later. And now, four years later it will finally shut shop. Click here to read more

Subhash Chandra Goel’s Zee TV was one of the first TV channels to be launched in India and the first Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) in the country. The parent company, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (earlier Zee Telefilms) has the distinction of having many innovative products in its portfolio. After successfully launching comprehensive web portal India.com, Zee has now launched Ditto TV – an ‘on the go’ television viewing experience.
