Abhinay Deo is best known for his offbeat film Delhi Belly. All you Bhaag DK Bose fans will agree that his sensibilities as a director are much very different from those of his contemporaries. So we should not have been very surprised (though we were) when at a recent awards function, he chucked the monotone ‘Thank you’ speech for something much for fun – an anecdote. After months of speculation there is some clarity about Dabangg 2, but slightly confusing. According to a report in a tabloid producer Arbaaz Khan of Dabangg has roped in a new team of technicians for the sequel of the super-hit action flick which will also be directed by him now. Apparently the crew chose to walk out of the film with the original director Abhinav Kashyap. However at the same time we are told that Dabangg 2 is being made with the same bunch of crew who worked on the original film, except Kashyap. We wish the makers decided on one thing. Anyway the only change in the sequel is that Singham’s bad guy Prashant Raj may join the original cast Salman, Sonakshi Sinha, Vinod Khanna, Sonu Sood and Arbaaz. They intend to begin filming in March 2012 and release it in December 2012.
