Veteran actor Pran hospitalised
Popular baddie of the ’60s and ’70s was admitted in the hospital. A spokesperson of the Lilavati Hospital however explains that there is no need to worry. “Pran is hospitalised here. He was admitted on Friday. He is here for just a routine check-up and is doing fine,” said Suhir Dagaonkar. “I can’t talk about his discharge dates right now. But he is fine,” said Dagaonkar. Pran, the quintessential villain in movies like Brahmachari, later went on to expand his repertoire in films like Zanjeer, Karz and Don. The legendary actor is 92-years-old now and still going strong. BollywoodLife wishes him a speedy recovery.

Veteran Bollywood editor MS Shinde passes away
Veteran editor MS Shinde, who had won the Filmfare Award for his work on one of the most revered Bollywood films, Sholay, passed away in Dharavi, Mumbai today. He was 82.
Shinde was suffering from cancer. Apart from Sholay, the editor had worked on close to 50 films including Razia Sultana, Brahmachari, Seeta Aur Geeta, Shakti, Saagar, Shakti, Sohni Mahiwal and Shaan. He also edited Shahrukh Khan films Chamatkar, Ram Jaane and Zamaana Deewana (the last film of his career).Click here to read more

Shammi Kapoor, who had been suffering from chronic renal failure, passed away at 5.15am on Sunday in a Mumbai hospital. He was 79 years old. Shammi had been on dialysis for the past few years, but his condition had further deteriorated in the past week and he had been placed on ventilator support. Click here to read more
