BL Awards 2011: ‘Criminal’ beats ‘Bhaag DK Bose’ for Most Bizarre Lyrics!

BL Awards 2011: ‘Criminal’ beats ‘Bhaag DK Bose’ for Most Bizarre Lyrics!

The BollywoodLife Awards 2011 results are out! Click to know the winners
So, which film song of 2011 had the most bizarre lyrics? Bhaag DK Bose? You’re wrong. It’s Criminal from RA.One that has our readers intrigued. Initially when we were monitoring the results a few days after the nominations were out, it seemed as if Bhaag DK Bose from Delhi Belly would be a definite winner. But as more people exercised their vote, Criminal took over quite surprisingly – with 50.07% of the total votes. Bhaag DK Bose stood at 36.66% votes when polling closed. It was uncanny to see songs from the films of Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan – also their home productions – compete for something as bizarre an award as Bizarre Lyrics! Deepika Padukone’s item song Mit jaaye gham from Dum Maaro Dum got 8.84% votes, while the Kutta song from Pyaar Ka Punchnama got 4.42% votes. Total votes were 701.

BIGG BOSS 5 house: Why are the colours so bright?

BIGG BOSS 5 house: Why are the colours so bright?

The colour scheme of the Bigg Boss house has been designed to create disharmony among the contestants
If you look at the colours of the Bigg Boss 5 house this time around (check pictures below), they are brighter and more jarring to the eye than in previous seasons. True, the BB house has never had pale or pastel shades in its decor. But for the current season, the colour scheme seems to be deliberately chosen to create uneasiness and stress. The Bigg Boss sets are still near Mumbai, only they have moved from Lonavala to Karjat over the last two seasons. But whether it’s the change of venue or the interiors, it is all intentional. RA.ONE MUSIC REVIEW: Songs rock!

    RA.ONE MUSIC REVIEW: Songs rock!

Cineswami has deigned to listen to the music of RA.One and is delighted to report that it is the outstanding, nay, the soundtrack of the year. Take a bow Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani
The album begins with the now ubiquitous Chammak challo [watch song], sung by Akon and Hamsika Iyer. It’s an infectious number with Tamil lyrics cropping up occasionally. Dildara [watch song], a tribute to Ben E King’s classic Stand by me, is a ballad rendered by Shafqat Amanat Ali in his best dard-meets-romance voice, a quality unique to singers across the border.
