Deepika sued by Ramesh Taurani News
Will Deepika Padukone’s presence in ‘Race 2’ help or hurt the film?
After much prodding by the governing body CINTAA and possible legal consequences after her walk out of Race 2, Deepika is now back in the film, but not without some starry terms and conditions. Will producer Ramesh Taurani have to play it safe and comply with these? Will he have to agree, since he is finding it difficult to get dates from other super-busy actors he may want as replacements for the leggy lady?
After shooting for Ramesh Taurani’s upcoming Race 2 Deepika Padukone chose to walk out of the project claiming that it had wasted her dates and the schedule was being overstretched. Taurani, on the other hand, claimed that Deepika shunned the film with the excuse of working in a Hollywood project and deceived the producer by signing on for Rajnikath’s mega-movie Kochadaiyan. Deepika Padukone sued for quitting ‘Race 2’
Deepika Padukone’s decision to choose Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan over Race 2 has landed her in trouble. Ramesh Taurani called her unprofessional, unethical and filed a complaint against the actor in CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association). CINTAA in return have sent out a message to Dips informing her about the producer’s complaint. A source close to Taurani said that the producer was hoping that Deepika would change her mind but she did not, and that’s the reason why Taurani approached CINTAA. On the other hand, Deepika who is on seventh heaven for bagging Kochadaiyaan has a whole different story to tell. According to a friend close to the actor, the paper signed by Deepika indicated that Race 2 will be over by September 2011. Dips has agreed to meet CINTAA General Secretary and FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) President to resolve the matter. The actor also claims that she will soon return the signing amount and compensate for the six days shoot she has already done.
