While the whole industry was waiting to know what eventually happens to Salman Khan at the final hearing of his 2002 hit and run case, Cine Employers’ strike was getting discussed. FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) had called for an indefinite strike starting today demanding a hike in salary among many other perks. A strike has been called by the members of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) due to the detainment of five members from the federation, Kamlesh Pandey, Dilip Pithva, Zahid Sheikh, Feroz Khan Raja and Sudhakar Sharma. The detainment reportedly was conducted unlawfully which has angered the members of the federation. The members claim that a fake assault case was filed against them by the registrar of Trade Unions, at the BKC police office. Click here to read more

Deepika Padukone sued for quitting ‘Race 2’
Deepika Padukone’s decision to choose Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan over Race 2 has landed her in trouble. Ramesh Taurani called her unprofessional, unethical and filed a complaint against the actor in CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association). CINTAA in return have sent out a message to Dips informing her about the producer’s complaint. A source close to Taurani said that the producer was hoping that Deepika would change her mind but she did not, and that’s the reason why Taurani approached CINTAA. On the other hand, Deepika who is on seventh heaven for bagging Kochadaiyaan has a whole different story to tell. According to a friend close to the actor, the paper signed by Deepika indicated that Race 2 will be over by September 2011. Dips has agreed to meet CINTAA General Secretary and FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) President to resolve the matter. The actor also claims that she will soon return the signing amount and compensate for the six days shoot she has already done.
