    Everyone is waiting to see Mausam. The release of the film was delayed because the Indian Air Force had some objections to a scene and refused to give a go-ahead, thus causing a stall by the censor board. Mausam should be in theatres this Friday (September 23) and we are keen to see how the much-spoken-of chemistry between co-stars Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor is all about.     ‘Mausam’ movie release postponed to September 23: Shahid tweets

    “MAUSAM is confirmed to release on 23rd of september iaf clearance and censor done” Shahid Kapoor tweets via his twitter account @shahidkapoor. Earlier he hinted the delay in the release with his tweet “Heading to a press con now to clear the air on MAUSAM release date”. Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut Mausam starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor had been withdrawn from the prestigious Toronto film festival’s screening line-up. The organisers released a statement saying that the film could not be screened in Toronto, as it had not received necessary approvals from India yet. Mausam was awaiting clearance from the IAF, but has been given a green signal by the Central Board of Film Certification.

    Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Mausam’ withdrawn from Toronto film festival

    Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor has been withdrawn from the prestigious Toronto film festival’s screening line-up. The organisers released a statement stating that the film could not be screened in Toronto, as it had not received necessary approvals from India yet. There was a delay to receive approvals from the Indian Air Force and Film Board. The Toronto film festival had planned to screen Mausam three nights in a row starting Thursday, which was to be followed by a press conference. But the whole schedule was called off at the last minute. In the film Shahid plays an IAF pilot whose love for Sonam Kapoor is thwarted by their religious differences. Pankaj Kapur’s directorial is set to release all over India this Friday.
