    Happy birthday, Konkona Sen Sharma!

    We wish Konkona Sen Sharma a very happy birthday, as she turns 32 today! Koko, as she is fondly addressed, was born on December 3, 1979. She is the daughter of renowned actor-director Aparna Sen. Konkona made her film debut as a child artiste in a 1983 film, Indira. As an adult, she first worked in Bengali films Ek Je Aachhe Kanya and Titli, but it was in her mother’s English film, Mr. and Mrs. Iyer (2002) that she was first noticed for her performance. Konkona has carved out a niche for herself in arthouse films, and also mainstream Bollywood films such as Page 3, Omkara, Life in a…Metro, Wake Up Sid, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Aaja Nachle, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? and Luck By Chance to name a few. She has won many awards including Filmfare and the National Film Award for her performances. Konkona is married to actor Ranvir Shorey. The couple has a son together.
