    Veteran south Indian director KSR Doss passes away

    Colleagues remember the great director and describe his death as a great loss

    Director Trishul of Baba fame has titled his next Kannada film The Dirty Picture, but filmmaker Ekta Kapoor is unhappy and has filed a complaint against the use of the title

    If things went according to schedule, four Kannada movies would have hit the screens this week – a rare phenomenon. But newcomer Suraj’s Gavipura backed off because it could not get enough screens for its planned release. The filmmakers had announced a February 10 release long back.     Reliance’s Singham has grossed Rs 47.7 crore in its opening weekend, including Rs 44.2 crore in India and Rs 3.5 crore overseas. The film opened wide in 38 countries, across 2,000 screens. Phase two of its release will see it release in a further 21 countries. Click here to read more
