Director Madhur Bhandarkar finds another reason for sleepless nights. A seven year old case comes back to haunt the director. In 2004, struggling actor, Preeti Jain filed a complaint against Bhandarkar accusing the director of rape under the pretext of offering her a lead role in his film. Preeti claimed that she slept with Bhandarkar from the year 1999-2004 believing his promises of movie opportunities and marriage. She also said that whenever she refused to comply with his demands, he would force himself on her. In 2005, the actress was arrested for hiring a contract killer to murder Bhandarkar.
