NAA ISHTAM movie review: Too weak and predictable
Naa Ishtam, which is Rana Daggubati’s first full-length commercial film with fights and dances, suffers from the same inadequacies seen in big budget commercial Telugu films. It is made with all the regular masala elements
The film not only has a weak plot and an outdated story line, it is also a predictable and average fare. The film is another proof of mediocrity prevailing in the Telugu film industry, which is known for repeating tried and tested formulae. Young director Prakash Tholeti could have banked upon an innovative script for the film knowing Rana’s talent. The Telugu film industry is set out to increase the heat quotient this March. The hot Rana Daggubati will charm the cute and bubbly Genelia D’Souza in Naa Ishtam.
Directed by debutant Prakash Toleti, the film is touted to be a romantic comedy with a tinge of drama to it. The crackling chemistry between Rana Daggubati and Genelia D’Souza is going to send the mercury soaring on March 23 when the movie releases across theatres. The title of the film was originally picked by Jogi Naidu for a film to be made by the Clapboard Productions banner but since the project got delayed he gave it away to Paruchuri Kireeti for this project.
