The fire accident on the sets of Prabhu Deva’s Rambo Rajkumar earlier this week in Mumbai was not as minor as it is being made out to be

Shahid Kapoor is said to have got burn injuries on his back and hand, and the actor would need time to recover fully.

“We were shooting a fire sequence when the chemical used to create the fire went awry. It singed Shahid’s shoulder and hand. It could’ve been worse. Thankfully nothing serious happened,” said a source close to the film.

Meanwhile, the stunts in Rambo Rajkumar are getting more and more dare-devilish as Prabhu Deva wants them to be one-up on what Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar did in Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, respectively. “When Shahid decided to do his first action film, he had to make sure the stunts were of the never-before variety. That’s why he waited so long to do an action film and even opted out of his friend Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang,” said the source.

It is little known that Bang Bang was originally planned for  Shahid. The source said, “But then somewhere down the line Shahid preferred Prabhu’s project as his first attempt at the action genre. Bang Bang is a remake of a Tom Cruise action entertainer Knight and Day and Shahid didn’t want his stunts to be compared with Cruise. Rambo Rajkumar is an original.”

When contacted, Prabhu Deva refrained from commenting on the injury, but he mentioned that he’s taking a break with his two sons. “We’re going to Australia for a holiday. During my vacation with my kids, I’ll also unveil the first look of Girish Taurani’s debut film Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya,” he said.

But the real revelation is that Girish used to very fat, just like some other star kids – Jackky Bhagnani, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor...quite a long list, eh?

Kumar Taurani, Girish’s dad is extremely proud of the fact that his fat son showed great commitment to losing weight and finally attained his goal of looking like a cute hunk.  The curly hair, the puppy-like innocent eyes make him look very unconventional, not the usual Bollywood material. And, we hear, the fitness regime picked up pace when he was shooting for his first film. A trainer from South Africa was hired to help Girish lose those pounds and achieve six-pack abs in three weeks – which he did.

Now that does inspire us to get into the fitness grind? Well…a little!

Shahid Kapoor looks like an absolute hottie, and we are talking about the new look that he worked on for his next film,Rambo Rajukumar. We hear that it’s an out and out action flick, and Sasha couldn’t possibly look meaner and sexier. He’s got an amazing tan and his hairdo is ruffled,  messy in a nicely stylish way. The actor, we hear, had to sweat it out in the gym to bulk up for the film – but not as much as he did for Kaminey, we presume – and did his thing soaking in the sun in the idyllic locations of Goa, just so that he could look like a ‘mean hottie’.

It seems Sasha has got a tremendous response for his look already. After receiving a volley of compliments, the actor has himself fallen in love with his super scorching avatar.

New Bollywood dude on the block, Girish Kumar finally makes a proper appearance on the poster of Ramaiya Vastavaiya

In the remake of Prabhu Deva’s Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Girish Kumar and Shruti Haasan will be seen romancing each other in the lush fields of Punjab. Girish Kumar is Tips honcho Kumar Taurani’s son and this film will be his launch vehicle for entering into the starry world of Bollywood.

He looks pure goofy in the new poster of Ramaiya Vastavaiya. He plays an NRI who falls for a desi Punjabi chick and his style is reminiscent of Raj Kapoor in Shree 420, but with a modern version of the coat and hat statement. The caption ‘desi cool’ doesn’t exactly appeal to us, but Girish’s funky look does.

We don’t know anything about the star kid’s skills or any other talent that’s required to sustain in B-town. The makers are keeping the suspense about GK alive by unfolding it at their own sweet pace. We wait to see more of this guy…

The actor has a lot on his plate in the coming months. And one of his films, we hear, revolves around the concept of reincarnation

Saif Ali Khan has already done a film on reincarnation (remember Hamesha with Kajol?).Now we hear that he’s gearing up to do another project which would be set against the backdrop of pichla janam and all that jazz. But that’s not it, he would also step into the shoes of a warrior and have a love story of his own. Tragic or happy, we don’t know that yet! We can already imagine Saifu sporting those Roman styled gladiators and those stylish arm-guards (how cool will it be, if he dresses like that). But when Khan was asked about this interesting project, he burst our bubble by saying that he will start working on this warrior love story only after he finishes his existing projects which include films with Kabir Khan, Sajid Khan and Prabhu Deva.

So we will have to wait for Khan to wield that razor sharp sword, show off his equestrian skills and woo his ladylove – whoever that is, of course!

The A-list celebs of B-town set the red carpet on fire at the opening edition of TOIFA

The Times of India Film Awards 2013 was one of the biggest and most glamorous events of the year, with top Bollywood’s stars in attendance. And the red carpet was without doubt, the place to be – the Canadians went crazy over the Bollywood fashionistas and uber-stylish celebs.

The couple that drew the biggest hoots and whistles was undoubtedly Shahrukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan. SRK nailed the look, though his maroon tuxedo was a bit gaudy. Gauri was exquisitely draped in a red Tarun Tahiliani saree.

Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan chose to show up in ethnic wear – Abhi wore a navy blue Sherwani and Ash was dressed up in a pretty mint green Anarkali dress. Neha Dhupia wore a rather complex Sabyasachi Mukherjee creation which was a bit kitschier for an awards show.

Priyanka Chopra came looking all sexy in an embellished black gown by Arpan Vohra, and Nargis Fakhri turned up looking perfectly ravishing in a strapless Komal Sood gown.

Anushka Sharma looked different and sported a rather adventurous style in a Dior suit, but the front bangs almost spoiled the otherwise flawless look! Ileana D’Cruz too went the wicked way in black and grey Dolce & Gabbana gown, while her partner for the evening Director Prabhu Deva came in dressed all fly in a dapper navy blue suit.

Aditi Rao Hydari wore a strapless, shimmering Gauri and Nainika gown, while Mugdha Godse was spotted in a pretty dark blue Rajat Tangri gown with an embellished back detail.

Well, all in all, it was a rather stylish red carpet event. No untoward fashion incidents or epic style bloopers… phew!

TOIFA kicks off in true Bollywood style with a musical extravaganza, as more stars reach Canada for the main awards ceremony

Bollywood celebrities Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Neha Dhupia, Abhishek Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Ileana D’Cruz, Anurag Basu, Prabhu Deva and Manoj Bajyapee were among those who arrived in Vancouver in the past two days for the Times Of India Film Awards (TOIFA) 2013. Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Madhur Bhandarkar, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sujoy Ghosh are expected to join them tonight.

The first ever TOIFA kickstarted with a musical extravaganza at the Pacific Coliseum on April 4. Sunidhi Chauhan, Mohit Chauhan, Hard Kaur, Kavita Seth and Shalmali Kholgade delivered high-voltage performances who belted out hit numbers like Pee loon, Masakali and Ishq sufiyana, leaving the audience craving more.

Host Neha Dhupia thoroughly entertained the eager crowd with her humour and witty oneliners. The icing on the cake was a competition titled Kaun Banega Neha Ka Pati (husband) where Neha asked a few Punjabi boys from the crowd to dance on item songs and later shortlisted the best among the lot.

Multifaceted choreographer Shiamak Davar, revisited his singing days by crooning Jaane kisne song from his own album. Another surprise for the evening was a duet by Shalmali and Hard Kaur. They mesmerised the audience by singing hits like Daaru desi and Ek glassy and their closing act of Gangnam style was the cherry on the cake.

Vineet Jain, MD, Times of India Group said the award is yet another step “for us in getting closer to millions of Indians across the globe”. “TOIFA’s Musical Extravaganza is a tribute to the legendary Hindi cinema music that audiences have been cherishing for 100 years now. It’s a great way to kick-start the TOIFA celebrations in Vancouver and we are looking forward to a gala weekend ahead,” he added.

The actor-director-choreographer turns 40 today

Prabhu Deva was born on April 3, 1973, and it’s a milestone birthday for him today. The versatile entertainer – who juggles acting, direction and choreography with amazing flair – certainly seems to be in a good place as far as his work is concerned. Last year, he focused mainly on Bollywood, acting in Any Body Can Dance (ABCD), choreographing for OMG: Oh My God! and directing the Akshay Kumar-starrer Rowdy Rathore, for which he also choreographed.

Prabhu Deva, the fabulous dancer, has come a long way since his early days. His foray into choreography was in the late ’80s when he worked on Vetri Vizha in Tamil and in Telugu films such as Anjali and Lorry Driver and, later Pratibandh in Bollywood. He was also roped in by Mani Ratnam for the classic, Thalapathy starring Rajinikanth and Mammootty. His choreography has won wide acclaim and he’s received two National Awards for best choreography for Minsara Kanavu and the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Lakshya.

Prabhu Deva also made for an unusual but endearing star in films such as Kaadhalan, Raasaiya and Vaanathai Pola. In 2005, he plunged into direction with Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana which went on to become a huge success. Since then, he’s notched up hits like Pokkiri, Shankardada Zindabad, Wanted and Rowdy Rathore. No wonder then that he’s got his hands full with big projects through 2013 and into the next year as well. There’s Rambo Rajkumar starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, plus three untitled projects planned with Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn-Deepika Padukone and one with Arshad Warsi.

Yesterday evening was a truly memorable affair for our Indian filmmakers and Steven Spielberg at Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai. And during this meet the Hollywood filmmaker was in conversation with Amitabh Bachchan for close to 90 minutes. While getting ready for the evening, Big B had tweeted, “And tomorrow meeting up with THE Steven Spielberg, and moderating a conversation with him, at an event for select fraternity !!”

Others who attended the event were Ratan Tata, Rajkumar Hirani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Anurag Kashyap, Ramesh Sippy, Shyam Benegal, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sudhir Mishra, Nagesh Kuknoor, Madhur Bhandarkar, Homi Adajania, Abbas-Mastan, Rohan Sippy, Prabhu Deva, R Balki, Kunal Kohli, Zoya Akhtar, Kiran Rao, Reema Kagti, Rajshree Ojha and Gauri Shinde. Indian cinema has come a long way and the role of women has evolved from being mere eye candy to bagging meaty roles and taking on women-centric subjects. Yes, you are free to rub your eyes in disbelief after watching the Housefull 2 babe show her desi style with incredible oomph in Jaadu ki jhappi

We have seen Jacqueline Fernandez show off her long limbs and her killer bod in some gorgeous western outfits in almost all of her films. But the Sri Lankan import is in a mood to show off her desi style in her forthcoming venture Ramaiya Vastavaiya.

The movie is a love story directed by ace dance master Prabhu Deva. It stars the Luck babe Shruti Hassan and is the debut vehicle of producer Kumar Taurani’s son Girish Taurani. The film will feature an item song titled Jaadu ki jhappi de de tu abhi and it will feature Jacqueline dancing with newcomer Girish and Prabhu Deva himself.

In the first look of the movie, we see Jacqueline in a colorful backless choli. The babe is seen doing a typical filmi dance in the yellow mustard fields that provide a beautiful backdrop to the setting. Frankly speaking, with her flawless pearl white complexion and sapphire eyes, she looks every bit of a supermodel who might have got lost in a tiny village in Punjab, rather than being the village belle herself.

The babe sure must be feeling the weight of all the expectations, considering that all the actors before her who have danced alongside Prabhu Deva have given spectacular performances – from Madhuri Dixit-Nene to Sonakshi Sinha. Will the Sri Lankan beauty impress us as the irresistible village hottie? You tell us!

Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor will very soon be seen sharing screen space in Prabhu Deva’s next Rambo Rajkumar.The film’s title is as interesting as Sonakshi’s look in this flick. She is seen in a bright blue lehenga and a vibrant blouse which she has teamed with a netted dupatta. The whole unit of the film is seen striking a happy pose and Ms Sinha seems to be having fun calling the shots with the clapboard in her hand. The director of the film looks the exact opposite of a taskmaster. The chilled out boss Prabhu Deva – when not giving orders- is seen grooving and shaking his booty. Striking his signature Muqabla pose, PB’s step and the vast expanse of the desert in the background make for a cool visual treat.

The Dabangg actor talks about his surgery and thanks fans for being by his side as he recovers from the serious injury he suffered while playing for Sohail Khan’s team in Celebrity Cricket League

Sonu Sood is in a hell lot of pain right now. The actor had a rather ghastly injury and suffered multiple fractures while he was playing for a Celebrity Cricket League match in Dubai on Saturday. He is recuperating currently in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

The actor tweeted today from his hospital bed after a painful surgery and spoke about his condition, his recovery and the state of his movies, “Hi,2 plates n 17 screws finally helped be hold my broken bones.Should be fine in few weeks but feels bad for the cancellation of few films,” wrote Sonu. He also went on to thank his fans and assured them that he will be fighting fit real soon! “Thanks a ton for ur wishes n prayers. Despite immense pain it keeps me going. Should be back on track soon.love u all :-)”

Besides three South films, Sonu is currently shooting for the Zanjeer remake and was supposed to start Prabhu Deva’s Rambo Rajkumar from March 1, but now both the films are on hold as Sonu will only be back on his feet only after a month.

Well, hats off to the Dabangg dude who is keeping up his spirit. We wish him luck and hope he recovers real soon.

The Housefull 2 actor is fighting fit, yet wants to experiment with her weight in her upcoming films

Jacqueline Fernandez has always sported a sexy, to-die-for figure since she debuted in Bollywood with her 2009 film Aladin. Her USP has been her drop dead gorgeous looks and her hourglass, super-fit bod. Yet, her unit members were in for a surprise when they saw the babe gorging in on delicious Tilla Kulfis at a dhaba in Chandigarh.

And if sources are to be believed, it seems that Prabhu Deva - who is directing Jacqueline in his upcoming film Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya - is responsible for the actor going on a guilt free binging spree! Apparently Jackie too wants to experiment with her looks and achieve a fuller figure for her forthcoming films. So Jackie, who was someone who would avoid eating food after 7 pm, is relishing heavy Punjabi food now in the company of Prabhu Deva. The actor said that after her heavy dhaba meal on Wednesday night, she was on a kind of holiday, and is enjoying eating guilt free, “I am on a holiday now. I love Punjabi food. It’s so tasty, I can’t stop myself.”

Now babe, take it easy. We know that maintaining a washboard stomach like that is full-time business, and most leading ladies, who are known for their acting chops, would die to get in shape like you! But a bit of cheating is fine! What say BollywoodLifers?

We had a thought: Instead of looking at Priyanka Chopra or Sonakshi Sinha or even Kareena Kapoor Khan to do a ‘special’ song in a movie, why not use Ranbir Barfi! Kapoor as an item boy? After all, he is so good at it, no?

There is no question about Ranbir Kapoor’s acting skills. So early in his career the actor has consistently given super performances in just about every movie he has been in. Yet, what has not been too obvious and less spoken about – maybe because he chooses not to stress it – are his superior dancing skills.

So if you were to ask the average Bollywood fan which star is the best dancer, you would get answers that talk of Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan or even Prabhu Deva, for that matter. No one really takes Ranbir seriously as a dancer, but that could be because his acting is always so highly lauded. Yet, every time that Ranbir has done an out an out naach-gaana number – like Tai tai Phiss in Chillar Party – not only were we impressed by his moves, but the sheer joy on his expressive face as he twinkle-toed through every step! The way in which Ranbir so innocently enacted his steps for the song in the kiddie flick showed off that young RK is a far more nuanced dancer than people give him credit for. And remember his class dance act in Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani, where he sang Prem ki naiyya…?

So when we heard that the Kapoor lad would be shaking a leg alongside the dancing diva Madhuri Dixit in Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, we were totally thrilled. Think about it: Madhuri Dixit, the queen bee of female actors of her generation, the best dancer that most people have seen in films, burning up the floor with Ranbir! It reminds us of the time when the diva danced with Prabhudeva in the hit song Kay sera sera from Pukaar, where just about every movement the couple made was magical and amazingly in sync!

With Ranbir and Madhuri on the same dance floor, will we see pure magic happen this time too? We hope so, ‘coz as Ranbir himself said this will be an extra special number, kyunki the Ek do teen diva was his first crush ever! Exciting stuff, no?

It seems a South Korean production house has been mulling over the idea of getting Gangnam superstar Psy to essay Prabhu Deva’s character in ABCD‘s remake

While some are raving about Prabhu Deva’s thespian skills in Any Body Can Dance (ABCD), there are also critics who have been hugely disappointed with the Southern star’s performance in the film. But that doesn’t really matter much ‘coz a bunch of South Korean filmmakers are smitten with Prabhu’s charm. And not just, that they are supremely impressed with the way ABCD is made. So now that they are hell-bent on buying the rights of the film, while the honchos of UTV Motion Pictures are taking their own sweet time to consider this offer (lucrative or not, we don’t know that yet).

But the question still remains – will Psy deliver a better performance than apna Prabhu in the remake? Well, we obviously have been in the loop when it comes to Psy’s grooving skills – he has that amazing energy and enthusiasm which can instigate even non-dancers to jump out of their seats and do a step or two. But c’mon, it’s tough to match Prabhu’s snake-like professional moves and his passion – which is so evident in the way he does everything – from those pelvic thrusts to those locking and popping steps.

Let’s see if the deal gets finalised. If yes, Psy has some serious work to do – that is match up to Prabhu’s amazingly cool dancing steps!

The Akshay Kumar starrer has earned Rs 27 crores, while Remo D’Souza’s dance flick has managed to earn only Rs 19.5 crores

Prabhu Deva gave Khiladi Kumar a tough fight at the ticket counters last weekend. After witnessing a huge opening on Friday, the Prabhu Deva starrer hasn’t been able to overtake the earnings of Akshay Kumar’s heist drama. As per some box office reports, Special 26 opened with mere 30-35 percent occupancy in the theatres whereas India’s first 3D dance movie Any Body Can Dance (ABCD) recorded an average of 60 percent. But going by the latest reports, looks like the momentum is swinging in Akshay’s favour as Special 26 has topped the business charts while ABCD is progressing at a slow pace.

The Neeraj Pandey flick which released in 1750 screens started on an average note on Friday, but it picked up well over the weekend and did good business in multiplexes as compared to the single screens. Trade pundit Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Special 26 witnessed fantastic growth after a tepid start. The business grew substantially on Saturday and Sunday. Business is rocking at multiplexes. Collected approximately Rs 26.5 crores to Rs 27 crores nett in its opening weekend. Break-up: Friday Rs 7 crores, Saturday Rs 9 crores, Sunday Rs 10.5-11 crores.”

ABCD – Any Body Can Dance, which released in 750 screens, started with a bang and is generating decent business but it hasn’t been able to sustain the momentum against Akki’s film. Taran said, “ABCD has fared exceptionally well, despite no star names to lure the audience. The film witnessed ample growth over the weekend, with the 3D version running to packed houses. Collected approx Rs 19.5 crores nett in its opening weekend. Breakup: Friday Rs 5.5 crores, Saturday Rs 6.5 crores, Sunday Rs 7.5 crores.”

Over all, it’s been a good weekend for Bollywood! The two well-promoted films have received positive reviews and done good business at the box office. Now it remains to be seen how the two movies will fare through the week. Watch this space for more updates!

Our critic Deboshree Ghosh is watching Prabhu Deva and Remo D’Souza’s first film ABCD – Any Body Can Dance right now. And she shared her first impression of the movie with us. She texted: “Prabhu Deva‘s Hindi leaves us in splits, Ganesh Acharya hams it up and Kay Kay Menon is super as the sinister enterpreneur who runs Jehangir Dance Classes.”

She liked the members of reality show Dance India Dance that are part of the film, including Salman Yusuf Khan. She said, “Loved the Parkour techniques used by these Dance India Dance kids in the beginning of the film, when the cops are chasing them.”

As for the post interval story, she is not too sure. She concluded, “The movie began with Kay Kay replacing Prabhu Deva with a la di da firang teacher. Does Prabhu Deva lose hope and return to Chennai? Or does he have his Eureka moment and aim for something bigger? We wait for something awesome to happen – a point that hooks us to the film.”

Prabhu Deva was pleasantly surprised to discover that director Remo D’Souza had incorporated the song Aa re Pritam pyare in ABCD, in a very creative way

As Any Body Can Dance focuses on dance, Remo D’Souza is doing whatever it takes to make the film an interesting watch. So the new development is that he is going to use the fast paced number Aa re Pritam pyare from Rowdy Rathore in the 3D flick ABCD. And as Rowdy Rathore was directed by Prabhu Deva, he was awestruck when he found out that Remo had taken efforts to give his own whacky twist to this track.

The choreographer-turned-filmmaker Remo D’Souza is thinking of getting a copyright on the dance moves from his forthcoming release ABCD

It’s not easy to get the top choreographers from Bollywood under one roof and have them shake a leg on your command. But Remo D’Souza has achieved the impossible. His forthcoming film Any Body Can Dance (ABCD) will feature ace dancers like Prabhu Deva, Saroj Khan and Ganesh Acharya. All these masters will bring their original dance moves for Remo’s ambitious project revolving around dance and dancers.

We have heard that Remo is planning to copyright some of the key steps from this film only to safeguard them against getting copied in the future. “We have not finalised anything, but yes, we are planning to do something like that. For example if you take Saroj ji’s song like Ek do teen and Dola re, those steps are original and specific. Lyricists, music composers get copyrights on their songs. So whenever these songs are played on the radio or anywhere, they get paid. So why can’t we get paid if Saroj ji’s Ek Do Teen is being performed on stage by somebody?” said Remo in a recent television interview.

Unlike his previous action films, Prabhu Deva’s new production looks mushy and romantic

Those who have watched Prabhu Deva’s high octane action dramas like Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, will not believe that the ace dancer-turned-director can have romance on his mind too. In his forthcoming film Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Prabhu Deva portrays a mushy romantic tale that has a feel of those flicks from the 80s and 90s when love was eternal and the made for each other lovers were absolutely over the top.

The film stars the gorgeous Shruti Haasan and newbie Girish Kumar (Taurani). Though Girish doesn’t quite look impressive in this 50-second trailer, Haasan makes a solid impression as a chirpy, naughty and innocent village belle. The setting of this film is countryside and it’s an out and out romantic drama between a simple village girl and a rich, urban guy. The background score that plays in this audiovisual is sung beautifully by Atif Aslam. The movie will feature Poonam Dhillon, Vinod Khanna and Randhir Kapoor too. Usually busy doing live shows and taking control of the mike when she’s not facing the arc-lights, Haasan is a multitalented chick. She will very soon be seen in Prabhu Deva’s Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya. She’s not a regular when it comes to Bollywood films, but we would be glad if she could croon for some Hindi movies as well. With the changing scenario of music in B-town, we wouldn’t mind having another Shalmali Kholgade or Clinton Cerejo in the industry.

The choreographer-director will promote his film Any Body Can Dance at the ongoing Hindu religious festival

A dance performance at the ongoing Maha Kumbh? If choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza has his way, he will perform with his dance troupe in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh soon.

“We are really trying to perform at the Maha Kumbh festival this year. But managing the logistics is not easy. We really want to perform there,” he said. “We are trying to get everything locked by this week and will be going there as soon as possible,” Remo said.

The Maha Kumbh comes every 12 years and this year it is being held in Allahabad. The 55-day congregation by the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna and the invisible, mythical Saraswati began January 14.

Currently, Remo is promoting his directorial venture ABCD: Anybody Can Dance, a 3D dance movie made with choreographers Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya in key roles.

Remo also went on to add that if things work out, he will perform to Ganpati number Sadda Dil Vi Tu (Ga Ga Ga Ganpati). “I have this good Ganpati number which I want to perform there. It is not like promotion, but I think it will the best place to perform the song,” he said.

The ace dancer-choreographer-director is all set to promote his upcoming dance flick overseas

Owing to his tight working schedule, Prabhu Deva will undertake the overseas promotion of ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, with the help of a hologram.

The 39-year-old will be talking to the media in Dubai, while his hologram will be projected at events in London, New York and Toronto. It is the first time that a movie will be promoted in this manner.

Prabhu Deva has only nine days left in the schedule before he starts shooting for his directorial project Rambo Rajkumar. “It is a huge innovation for the film. A 3D hologram projection is a perfect fit for the promotions as ABCD is also India’s first 3D dance film,” choreographer-turned-filmmaker Remo D’Souza said in a statement. “If everything goes well, we will have a spectacular show. Currently, we are figuring out the logistics,” he added.

Directed by Remo, ABCD: Any Body Can Dance also features Ganesh Acharya, Salman Yusuff Khan, Lauren Gottlieb, Dharmesh Yelande and Kay Kay Menon. The movie is set to release on February 8.
