Shruti Haasan and Girish Kumar seem to be reveling in the joy that their adventurous relationship has bought into their lives.

Issaq, on the contrary, looks intense. New kid Amy Dastur poses hand-in-hand with Prateik. While Prateik looks like the perfect angry young bloke, Dastur looks like the simple girl next door. She’s casting a puzzled look at him as if trying to decipher the reason behind his anger.

Amy Jackson who starred in Ekk Deewana Tha opposite Prateik recently posted a very fashionable picture of hers on Twitter. The babe may not be doing a lot of Bollywood films due to her not-so-great acting credentials, but her style choices are spot on. She looked like an Egyptian Goddess in that black and red one-piece, and the gladiator style cuff looked cool. The smokey eye make-up, the golden nail-polish and the front bangs is something Amy carried with supreme confidence.

Whenever an international superstar comes to town, it has become a trend of sorts for out B-town celebrities to wine and dine with them. So when hip-hop’s biggest artist Snoop Dogg decided to drop in, the B-towners were all ready for the party.

Most prominent and sporting their old school best, at the party hosted by a well-known shoe brand, were Ranveer Singh, Minnisha Lamba, Prateik, Dino Morea and Monica Dogra amongst others. While Ranveer rocked with a rather colorful pseudo-Rastafarian jacket, Minnisha looked sexy in a sparkly number. Prateik on the other hand walked in like a zombie loaded up on substances and totally not cool!

There is a lot of money riding on Bollywood films, and many households dependent on box office collections. Making a film is one of the biggest gambles ever, and crores of rupees and humongous egos are at stake. The magazine’s anniversary party was good fun. And while the ladies were seen making the most of this soiree, the men weren’t far behind either

We have to start with Kajol as she continues to surprise us with her gorgeous fashion statements. We appreciate Mrs Devgn’s moxie to experiment with different styles, and that too with such infectious elegance. The pink Ramona Narang dress works wonders for her personality. The golden cuff lends a very Greek look to her style and obviously we can’t get our eyes off that pretty shiny clutch. While Kajol was busy basking in the attention, newcomer Alia Bhatt played it safe with a bling Dior dress. Since she’s young and hip, we expected her to get a li’l whacky.

The person who was really in a mood to take a risk was Shibani Dandekar. Those front bangs, sequined jacket teamed with black pants and dark lipstick made her look like a stylish Goth chick. Even Sonal Chauhan impressed us with her futuristic statement- a backless dress with pointed shoulders, cool no? Kalki kept it simple and chic, and not to forget very French, in a pleated outfit and Dia sizzled in a gorgeous LBD.

There were also celebs who failed to up the ante. Prateik and Sidhartha Mallya’s ensembles made us cringe! Mallya’s hideous loafers and Prateik’s punk look gets a vehement boohoo from us. And shockingly even Jacqueline Fernandez was seen joining the style disaster clique. The velvety ensemble makes us shudder in embarrassment. Now that’s what we call an absolute style fest, with the right doses of fashion and spice, we definitely like!

Director Prakash Jha knows that a mere rupee won’t change his fortunes. And he can ask for more money from the Punjab government for the financial losses that Aarakshan suffered because of it being banned in the stateHe may get it too, but the director has a different point to prove!

Jha had approached the Supreme Court, which agreed with him that the ban imposed by the Punjab government on his film Aarakshan was hurtful to the democratic value of free speech and expression. The court even quashed the ban, yet the film did suffer losses that may have been counted in crores for the initial five days when the film was now shown.

But Jha’s fight this time is not about money. The director would be more than happy to collect a Re 1 amount as a symbolic payment. It would be more a political gesture than a financial one from the filmmaker who is known for his political sagas. And even as he adds a little drama to his existence with this penalty story, we do hope his films become a tad more exciting from now on!

Recently we saw a love-struck Prateik spending some quality time with Amy Jackson’s parents in London. And we thought it was oh-so-cute and thoughtful on the guy’s part. But just as we were about to reach out and touch wood, we heard that the couple broke up. Uh-ho! What is it with B-town and its jodis!

But what went wrong with Amy and Prateik’s lovesome twosome? On digging deeper we found that it was the proverbial problem of a possessive boyfriend. No sooner had we heard that did we remember Dabangg actor Salman Khan of apna B-town, who suffers from a similar ailment. Sigh! Looks like the P-bug bit Prateik too.

What’s more, the Babbar son even confessed in an interview, “Giving space to your partner is important, but I think every lover gets possessive, especially if he/she is truly in love.” Ahem ahem. So perhaps in the quest of declaring his true love for his lady Prateik got so possessive that he drove his ek-saal-ke girlfriend out of the relationship? Tch tch!

But birdies close to the couple chirp that the alleged break-up wasn’t ugly. In fact, they insist that Amy and Prateik are still friends. It’s just that they have decided to take a break from their happy coochie.

But as we wait to know whether Amy goes back into Prateik’s arms after the break, here’s a niggling question at the back of our minds: Is it necessary to be possessive in love? Tell us what you think, dear readers?
