    Salman Khan as drag queen in ‘Kanchana’ remake?

    After ‘Bodygaurd‘, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Salman Khan has found a formula of doing remakes of south Indian hits. Going by the stupendous success of Wanted, Dabbangg and Bodyguard. Let’s hope that his next project, a remake of Telugu film Kanchana will also rock at the box office. Salman sure is a successful ‘re-maker’ in B-town. But the most interesting thing about Kanchana is that Salman will play the role of a transvestite in the film. It will be a first for Salman to be in the role of a crossdresser. But there could be a slight hitch there. Our B-town sources informed us that Raghavendra, the director of the original movie, is demanding at least Rs 4 crore for the remake rights. And though Salman is eager to make the film in Hindi, his brother Sohail Khan is against paying such a huge sum to the producers of the film. Let’s wait and watch how eager Sallu is to be a drag queen!

    Raj Kumar family helps lift ban on Nikitha Thukral

    Legendary actor Raj Kumar’s family has come to her rescue
    Film producers in Karnataka have overturned the three-year ban imposed on actor Nikita Thukral, reportedly after direct intervention from the first family of Sandalwood, led by Mrs Parvathamma Rajkumar, the wife of late cine legend Raj Kumar. The Kannada Film Producers’ Association released a statement to this effect and confirmed that there was no plan to ban actor Darshan, who is currently in prison on charges of assaulting his wife Vijayalakshmi. In an FIR, the wife had mentioned a possible affair between Darshan and Nikita for her predicament. Click here to read more
