AGENT VINOD music review: Forget mujra, pick the pungi!

AGENT VINOD music review: Forget mujra, pick the pungi!

    Music director: Pritam
    Lyrics: Amitabh Bhattacharya
    Rating: 3/5
The so-called hip version of the mujra sticks out like a sore thumb in the otherwise slick soundtrack
Agent Vinod has only four songs and one theme track. It’s supposed to be an action-packed thriller and more songs would have surely ruined the pace of the film. Keeping the genre in mind all the tracks are slick and edgy, except one – Dil mera muft ka. If this song had not been promoted as a mujra and had been treated like just another item song, it could have worked better. Click here to read more

Saif Ali Khan’s counter complaint doesn’t stand

Saif Ali Khan’s counter complaint doesn’t stand

The Saif Ali Khan punchgate gets a new twist as the cops say that his counter complaint against Iqbal Sharma doesn’t hold good as there is no medical proof for the same. In his complaint, late last night, Saif alleged that Mr Sharma’s father-in-law punched him first and abused the women who had accompanied him at the restaurant. He further alleged that his eye was swollen after he was punched. Owing to the lack of medical certificate, the Nawab’s complaint doesn’t stand any ground. Saif is now banking on the CCTV footage, which is probably the only way he can prove his innocence. The Agent Vinod actor is asking people not to form an opinion against him, just because he is a celebrity. He has repeatedly said that he was just trying to defend himself. Do you believe Saif’s version?

Saif Ali Khan to shoot a new song for ‘Agent Vinod’

Saif Ali Khan’s hunt for a chartbuster song for his ambitious spy thriller continues as he requests Pritam to give him a new number
Kareena Kapoor’s mujra from Agent Vinod was supposed to be a crowd puller but that strategy doesn’t seemed to have worked. The song has received a lukewarm response from the audience. Even the Rasputin remake, I’ll do the talking, has failed to raise any interest in the movie. So Agent Saif put himself on the mission to find that one hit song that has been eluding him– the one track that could boost the film’s chances at the BO.

‘Agent Vinod’ team upset locals of ghost town Kuldhara

‘Agent Vinod’ team upset locals of ghost town Kuldhara

Producer-actor Saif Ali Khan and director Sridhar Raghavan of Agent Vinod, Saif’s home-production, landed in some legal trouble recently. The cast and crew were shooting some crucial scenes from the film in Kuldhara near Jaisalmer, popularly also known as the ghost town of Rajasthan. According to locals the team was shooting in one of the ancient heritage structures without appropriate permissions. Though the team claimed they had the necessary permits. Anyway, what really irked the locals was that they also flouted rules and caused permanent damage to the site by painting the yellow walls in maroon and filling mud in the stone layers of the ancient houses. As a result Saif’s production company Illuminati Films and co-producer Eros International have coughed up Rs 1,00,000 as penalty and Rs 4,00,000 security deposit will be used for restoration of the heritage site. The Agent Vinod team is no longer allowed to shoot at Kuldhara, but can shoot anywhere else in Rajasthan.
