For a long time the Mausam babe resisted south Indian film offers. However, when Raavan filmmaker Mani Ratnam went to her, she couldn’t say ‘no’. And wethinks she did a wise thing!

It is no surprise that Sonam Kapoor, daughter of Anil Kapoor who started out doing films in the south, is inundated with film offers from the same industry. But for a long time the Mausam babe kept turning it down. Rumour has it that Ghajini director AR Murugadoss was keen to cast her sometime back. Anyway, Sonam has finally bitten the bait of south films. Maverick director Mani Ratnam has cast her in his forthcoming film, tentatively titled Pookadai. Click here to read more
