Political party Shiv Sena Monday demanded an extension of the deadline from October 31 to January 2013 for digitisation of cable TV networks in the four metros of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, as acquiring set-top boxes is causing a burden on the poor in the festival season. Uddhav Thackeray, the party Executive President said that in Mumbai around one-third of the households were yet to buy set-top boxes (STBs) which cost around Rs 1,000-1,200 per piece.
