Movie review: Tell Me O Kkhuda

Movie review: Tell Me O Kkhuda

    Nothing really to tell here!
Hema Malini is still called ‘Dream Girl’, but it ain’t a tag her daughter Esha – however great her shape may be – can inherit easily. The fond mum insists her daughter can act; audiences have not yet seen much evidence of that, though there was a hint in the rather offbeat Just Married and perhaps some promise in her debut, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. Esha is a far better classical dancer than an actor, but it is perhaps her lineage that will not allow her to give up trying to make it on the big screen. Click here to read more

Arjan Bajwa: ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’ is not a woman-oriented film

Arjan Bajwa: ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’ is not a woman-oriented film

The Fashion actor reveals there is much more to his latest film, which releases today
You probably remember him best from Fashion, where he played the struggling model Maanav. And you probably expected him to capitalise on the rave reviews he got for his performance. Instead, Arjan Bajwa chose “quality over quantity”. “I would definitely like to do more films, but I am making a conscious effort to work with whom I want to and I have been fortunate so far,” he said. DIWALI SPECIAL FEATURE: Bollywood’s biggest gambles

DIWALI SPECIAL FEATURE: Bollywood’s biggest gambles

There is a lot of money at stake during the Diwali season. Gambling is considered a way to honour the goddess Lakshmi, and filmilog in Bollywood also play some of the biggest games of chance during this time.
Shahrukh Khan releasing his ambitious superhero film RA.One is not as big a gamble as Hema Malini and Himesh Reshammiya simultaneously releasing their films, Tell Me O Kkhuda and Damadamm, respectively, but the two smaller movies will play off against the ginormous one – a great risk in itself. Salman Khan becomes ‘item boy’ for Esha Deol?

Salman Khan becomes ‘item boy’ for Esha Deol?

We heard that the Bodyguard actor is doing an item number in Esha Deol’s comeback film, Tell Me O Kkhuda. After making a few calls we found out that Sallu did this song that too at such a short notice just out of respect for Dharmendra and Hema Malini. Salman is the busiest superstar in B-town and is juggling multiple commitments; still he reported on the sets within 30 minutes of getting the call from the makers. He came wearing a black suit and immediately asked Hemaji what he was supposed to do. Surprisingly, in the video, Sallu doesn’t seem to be even remotely interested; he is just mouthing some hip-hop lines and standing with his hands in his pockets. We wonder if it is the same guy who brought the house down with Dhinka chika, Character dheela et al.

That’s why the F.A.L.T.U. actor is yet to watch his upcoming flick Tell Me O Kkhuda. Here he talks about the unique factor in TMOK, playing the lead role in two films and why he’s doing new age cinema
Chandan Roy Sanyal can’t stop smiling these days. Even at the rains in Mumbai and Delhi, where he’s gone to shoot for his next film, Prague. “I like rains,” he says. And why not? Not only did his last release F.A.L.T.U. turn out to be a sleeper hit, but he’s got another one coming up later this month – the Hema Malini production Tell Me O Kkhuda. Click here to read more

Forget Kkhuda, Tell Me O Panditji!

Forget Kkhuda, Tell Me O Panditji!

An anxious Hema Malini is unable to release her film on an auspicious date, thanks to a certain lion
Hema Malini is trying hard to ensure Tell Me O Kkhuda is a hit. No, not by investing in a better script. Or top actors. Or even in an item number. And adding an extra ‘K’ is just passé, right? Instead, she is consulting astrologers and numerologists for the ‘correct’ release date. From what we hear, that hasn’t worked out so well after all. Click here to read more

Chandan Roy Sanyal: Hema Malini is really cool

Chandan Roy Sanyal: Hema Malini is really cool

You loved Chandan Roy Sanyal as Mikhail in Kaminey, but didn’t recognise him in a telecom advertisement? Don’t blame yourself
You are not the only one to fall for Chandan’s plan – to do roles that are completely different from each other. When Chandan Roy Sanyal moved from theatre to Bollywood, he had plans – of being a part of a huge hit, of making it big in tinseltown… but little did even he know that one day, he would be directed by Hema Malini. That too, with the Dream Girl dressed in track pants. Click here to read more
