The coveted remake rights of Mohanlal starrer blockbuster Drishyam has been bagged by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and the buzz is that Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have shown keen interest in signing the film. But we hear that producer Ekta Kapoor is not happy with the news of Drishyam remake. Balaji Motion Pictures had purchased the adaptation rights of the novel – The Devotion of Suspect X and according to the production house, Drishyam shares the plot with the Japanese novel. Manjunath,written and directed by Sandeep A Varma, tells the story behind the real life murder of the sales-marketing officer of Indian (Bharat) Oil Corporation.
