There’s a lot done to promote the cause of women empowerment; from videos to ad campaigns to awareness conferences. Though these initiatives have their hearts in the right place (figuratively) they fail to convince me of the seriousness of the issue. Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon has got another fan in the Rock On star.
Farhan Akhtar today extended support to the popular television series on Doordarshan, that deals with deep-rooted social norms like child marriage, early pregnancy and gender based violence. Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon has been written, and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan, eminent theater and film director. The serial is a joint initiative by Population Foundation of India (PFI) and Doordarshan. Season Two began telecast on April 4, 2015 on Doordarshan and will run every Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 pm.
