Mahabharat maker Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s new venture titled Bandhan

The new show will showcase a unique bond between a six year old and an elephant

After Haathi Mere Saathi from Bollywood, we would see an elephant in one of the main leads on television, to be brought forth by the uber talented Siddharth Kumar Tewary in his upcoming show Bandhan. Starring Encounter star Aditya Redij as a Forest Range officer and playing his wife Maayke Se Bandhi …Dor fame Shweta Munshi, the show is said to be launching soon on Zee TV.

The six year old girl in the show will be played by Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada star Ananya Agarwal and will be the central character of the show. According to reports, Jannat Zubair Rehmani of Phulwa fame was initially asked to play the role.

A source close to the unit reveals “The shoot for Bandhan is presently in full swing in Umargaon. The maker has chosen some realistic outdoor locations, as the story will revolve around the forest with the elephant playing a predominant part in storytelling. The cast and crew are shooting at some amazing never-seen-before locations.”

Reports suggest that the plot of the six year old girl and her elephant was initially suggested to Life OK by Swastik Productions.
