TAARAK MEHTA KA OOLTAH CHASHMAH: Daya-Jethalal play garba with fans!
Anyone who is even slightly familiar with the characters residing in Gokuldhaam Society know how passionate Daya ben is about garba. And here’s what she did this Navratri!
Gokuldhaam Society, the hot-spot from many a laugh-a-thons that the serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is famous for, is the place where Jethalal Gada (Dilip Joshi) lives with his wife Daya (Disha Vakani), son Tappu (Bhavya Gandhi) and father, who is fondly called Baapuji. And even a fleeting glance at an episode of this comedy serial is enough to make you realise that Daya ben needs no reason to break into a garba.
So anyone who is familiar with this trait of the Gujarati lady won’t be surprised at the news we heard just now – Daya, her husband and her child were spotted playing garba with fans at Kora Kendra Dandiya Festival in Borivali, a suburb of Mumbai.
And it was such a treat to watch the TMKOC’s Guju family in action that a huge crowd gathered to cheer the Gada clan on. Others present at the venue were Amit Bhatt (Baapuji), Mandar Chandwadkar (Aatmaram Bhide) and the producer of the show Asit Modi who said, “Crowd had gone crazy. All were asking Daya to teach them her special garba steps!”
