While everyone is busy dressing up traditional and looking all glamorous this Diwali. Looks like Salman Khan is in no mood to go desi or anything that you are expecting him to wear for this festive season. I mean, we all saw how even for his first Diwali party that he hosted along with his sisters Alvira and Arpita, he didn't step our wearing a kurta or anything traditional. In stead, he's more comfortable being his own self and setting his own classy style statement in either stylish casuals or semi-formals. So it comes as no surprise that even for the Bigg Boss 11 Diwali special weekend that's going to be aired tonight and tomorrow, the superstar hasn't gone out of his way to follow the desi trend that everyone else is catching up to. In stead, he along with his designer Ashley Rebello have put together two contrasting indo-western creations with a combination of band-gala and jacket. One look at the above picture and you will know what we are trying to say. Where on one side you can see Salman sporting a black leather jacket. The other look has him wearing a navy blue blazer with a black band-gala to go with as Ashely Rebello revealed the looks on Insta saying, "#sat and #Sunday #styled by #tanushka kitt for #bigboss11 #style bandgalas #jeans and #tshirts #stylediarieswithashleyrebello." In interaction with DNA, Ashely had recently also opened up about styling Salman for Bigg Boss and how he constantly manages to try different looks with every next weekend. He pointed out that dressing up Salman for the show for the last seven years has garnered extreme reactions. He received flak as well as flowers. Deciding the look each year includes choosing from the current trend and colours in vogue, which often backfires. “People don’t understand that and make strange comments. This year, I haven’t received any negative remarks yet. Last year, people liked his style, but they thought it was monotonous,” says the ace designer.
While many might argue why does Salman only go with suits and blazers for Bigg Boss. Ashley reasons, "It’s what the channel wants and is about dressing Salman stylishly, while maintaining his vibe. One needs to understand that he’s 52 and not 25. Jeans and jackets are not his style anymore. Suits talk about his personality,” says Ashley. The designer has also not moved away from the suits even though Salman, more often than not, takes them off mid-show. He smiles, “It still looks cool and stylish, so I suppose the channel doesn’t object either.”
