BollywoodLife was the first to report about Jay Mehta Productions' next on Colors. Laila Majnu fame Abrar Qazi has been roped in to play the male lead. And now as per the latest update that we've learned, the makers have found their female lead as well. Newbie Shruti Sharma who was a participant in the acting based reality TV India's Next Superstar, has been locked to play the lead in the yet-to-be-titled daily. Although Sharma didn't win the non-fiction series that was judged by Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty, she was titled as the 'Third Superstar' of the season. Owing to her outstanding performances she was given a special mention in the show. Not just that, rumours were also rife that Sharma will make her acting debut in one of Johar's upcoming movies. While we are still not sure of that, it seems destiny has some other plans for her debut.
The makers were planning to get onboard several popular names, however, Sharma, despite being a fresh face won the race. "Helly Shah and Jigyasa Singh were the top contenders, however, Sharma won the role. She fits the character and the channel liked her," a little birdie close to the development revealed. With the leads being locked the project is soon going to kickstart. Apparently, it will be one of the shows that will take the primetime slot. After the wrap up of the ongoing season of Bigg Boss 12, the show will go air and take the slot. "The promos will hit the TV screens soon," another source confides.

Not just Sharma, there's another veteran actor has been roped for the upcoming daily soap. Sonali Pandit will play one of the protagonist's mother in the narrative.
We couldn't get in touch with Shruti, Sonali or show maker Kinnari Mehta for a comment. The show will revolve around a goon who hails from Dombivli and an IAS aspirant girl. Their love story will become the crux of the story.
