Vikram's I is Upen's only film in the last six years. Did the London based model-turned-actor miss his chance to bag more films by failing to promote I? Read on to find out
Upen Patel made his acting debut in Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor starrer 36 China Town, back in 2006. It's been nearly nine years since his debut, but sadly Upen has only a handful of films to show for himself. In fact his last release was Ranbir-Katrina's Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani, way back in 2009. So it only made sense to go all out to promote his latest flick I, which also happens to be his first film in last six years. Also, a film like I is no small film. Directed by Shankar of Robot fame with Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead, I also stars Upen in an important role. With the film being dubbed and well promoted for Hindi audience, I could be Upen's big break to get back in the game. But surprisingly, Upen chose to re-enter the Bigg Boss house as a wild card entry instead of going overboard with his films promotion.
While the model turned actor gained a lot of fame, thanks to the popular reality show, which might also help him get films in future, it baffled many that he chose Bigg Boss Halla Bol over Vikram's I. Has Upen left all hopes to make a name for himself in the film industry? Is the actor happy to be tagged as a TV sensation, basking in the glory of his Bigg Boss fame? Only Upen can answer these questions.
While Upen ups the drama in the Bigg Boss house, we will have to wait and watch how the actor performs in the much anticipated flick, I.
