Right after the Bigg Boss 14 finale, Rakhi Sawant had shared a few heart-wrenching photos of her mother Jaya who is currently undergoing cancer treatment at a hospital in Mumbai. Later, her mother had thanked Salman Khan and his brother and actor Sohail Khan, for taking care of the medical expenses. Rakhi's mother has now lost all her hair as she is going through chemotherapy and the actress couldn't hold back her tears recalling how her mother loved decking up, wearing makeup and new sarees.
"When I came out I was shocked to see my mother in such a condition. My mother loved decking up, wearing makeup, new sarees but when I came out I saw her lose weight, she had lost her hair (cries inconsolably). She is going through chemotherapy. It was my mother who always supported me when I wanted to become an actress. My maternal uncle, father would beat me but my mom always supported me. She always told me I couldn’t make my career in Gujarati films, you go ahead I am with you. She would fast for me. We didn’t have money to pay the rent of the house. She would struggle for us and I feel if I give my life for my mother also it would be less. I am just taking care of her. Salman and Sohail bhai supported me a lot and helped me with hospital expenses as I had gone bankrupt before and during the lockdown. I had utilised all the money during the lockdown to take care of my mother and my family. I had no work," Rakhi talked about her mother's hardships during an interview with TOI.
Rakhi also went on to talk about how she was beaten by her father and her maternal uncle in her childhood for dancing. "I have so many stitches and marks on my body, hand because girls of our family would not even stand on the balcony of the house. My father and maternal uncle were very strict and they have beaten me a lot as I loved dancing. I had to fight a lot with my family to let me make my career in Bollywood. They would beat me up so that I would quit or give up on my passion for dancing. But I never gave up and continued working hard. I struggled a lot," she said.
Rakhi chose to walk out of the show in the finale by accepting a briefcase containing Rs 14 lakh. She has started shooting for a new web-series titled Tawaif Bazaar-E-Husn. She posted a clip from the shoot of the web-series on Instagram. In the video, Rakhi is seen enacting a scene for the cameras. Details about the series are still under wraps. Rakhi shared that the show is directed by Marukh Mirza.
