Varun and Shraddha's first film together has indeed stormed the box office...
Remo D'Souza's latest directorial venture ABCD 2 starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhu Dheva has hit the bulls eye at the Indian box office. The dance film which released last Friday has raked in big moolah in just six days and is fast inching towards the Rs 100 crore club. What's even more impressive is that the sequel of Any Body Can Dance has fared well in the international markets as well. In India, Varun and Shraddha starrer has grossed Rs 67.07 crore and is still going rock steady at the ticket windows. Since there is hardly any competition at the box office, ABCD 2 will continue to pull in crowd to the cinema halls.
Trade portal Boxofficeindia reported, "ABCD 2 will continue its domination at the boxoffice this week as the new Hindi releases Miss Tanakpuri Haazir Ho and Uvaa will provide no competition. There will be competition in East Punjab and parts of Delhi city with Punjabi film Sardaarji."
The website further stated, "ABCD 2 has held well on weekdays and is heading for 100 crore nett which it should hit in its third weekend. The film has a fantastic window with no major Hindi release in its way till Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The competition will mainly come from regional films."
With ABCD 2 faring exceptionally well at the BO, I won't be surprised if filmmakers queue up to sign Jr Dhawan and Mr Kapoor together for their films.
