Tiger Shroff joins the ranks of Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn as his latest outing Student of the Year 2 opened with a phenomenal response at the box office. The high school drama raked in Rs 12.06 crore on its first day and turned out to be the fifth highest opener of the year after Kalank, Kesari, Gully Boy and Total Dhamaal. It has shattered films like Uri: The Surgical Strike, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Luka Chuppi and Badla to achieve this position.
In a short span of time, Tiger Shroff has created a huge fanbase for himself and that can be seen through the opening day collections of Student of the Year 2. Known for his action, dance and stunts, Tiger Shroff recently said that he is not a versatile actor and knows that has been typecast as an action hero actor. "I am not at all versatile and I look at it as a positive thing. I already have an identity of an action hero in the Hindi film industry where there is so much competition. When people talk about action heroes of the present time, one of the names could be Tiger Shroff. Yes, I am typecast but this whole thing has given me an identity and made me stand out. It makes me feel good."
Also starring Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday, Aditya Seal and Samir Soni in key roles, the film is directed by Punit Malhotra and bankrolled under the banner of Dharma Productions. Anyway, have you liked the film? Tweet to us @bollywood_life.
