Ajay Devgn's multi-starrer Baadshaho and Ayushmann Khurrana-Bhumi Pednekar's Shubh Mangal Saavdhan released today. As was predicted the films are getting the response from the desired audience. Baadshaho was supposed to be big at single screens while Ayushmann's film was believed to do well with the urban and multiplex audience where it is getting a fairly decent response. As per our Trade expert Amul Vikas Mohan, Editor Super Cinema, both the films are doing pretty well for themselves as of now.

Amul says, "Baadshaho's occupancy is around 50 percent while Shubh Mangal Saavdhan opened with 30 percent occupancy. Both are looking good at present." When asked about his predictions for opening day collection, Amul is hopeful that Baadshaho will have a double digit first day while SMS will earn somewhere around Rs 3-4 crore. We had spoken to our other Trade expert Akshaye Rathi, Exhibitor-Distributor, a few days back to know what box office has in store for these film. He had said, "Both set in the heartland of India. Despite that, both the films cater to different audience. SMS is a movie for both urban audience and multiplex audience. It is very similar to the last film that Ayushmann Khurrana did, Bareilly Ki Barfi, two weeks ago. Baadshaho on the other hand, is a pure thorough-bred mass single screen film. I don’t see Baadshaho becoming huge in multiplexes. There is a great possibility that it will contribute majorly to small screens than compared to multiplexes. Thankfully, they cater to different audience set, so hopefully they will be able to offer some sort of entertainment. It looks like a good weekend and I am sure the business will be great too.”
Well, Trade was right all along!
