The mega-budget venture of the Indian cinema, 2.0 is achieving new milestones at the ticket windows on every passing day. In just six days, it has grossed Rs 488 crore at the global box office and is set to enter the Rs 500 crore club today. Well, with this total, it will be the third Indian film of 2019 to achieve this feat after Ranveer Singh's Padmaavat and Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju.
The makers of the film Lyca Productions recently announced that 2.0 will be released in 47000 plus 3D screens making it biggest foreign release in the Chinese market.
Talking about 2.0, the film features Rajinikanth in three different avatars and also stars Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in key roles. Akshay Kumar, making his southern debut, plays the antagonist. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 600 crore. Rajinikanth plays a scientist and a robot. He also appears as a microbot, dubbed 3.0, which was one of the major surprise elements.
