Alia Bhatt's Raazi might have finally slowed down, but looks like there is still no stopping the film. The spy thriller has been holding its fort and continuing to attract steady footfalls even in its fourth week. In fact, on day 27, the movie added another Rs 80 lakh to take its overall box office tally to Rs 117.34 crore. With that, Alia Bhatt's Raazi has cruised past Badrinath Ki Dulhania's lifetime box office collection (Rs 116.68 crore) and become the actress' highest grosser yet. Isn't that huge? The fact that a niche, women centric film with a limited release has earned such a huge amount at the box office and become Alia's biggest hit till date, is huge!
All this has been possible courtesy the amazing content. The movie had a fantastic storyline and it was executed very well by director Meghna Gulzar. Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal's steallar performances were a cherry on the cake. Everyone loved the film, which lead to a fantastic word of mouth publicity to be built and in turn it helped the movie sustain and rake in the moolah. Talking about the current trends and collection, trade analyst Taran Adarsh mentioned on Twitter, "Although biz dries up by the time most films reach Week 4, #Raazi proves an exception. Continues to attract STEADY footfalls. [Week 4] Fri Rs 1.05 crore, Sat Rs 1.70 crore, Sun Rs 2.30 crore, Mon Rs 85 lakh, Tue Rs 80 lakh, Wed Rs 80 lakh. Total: Rs 117.34 crore. India biz." Looking at the current trends, Raazi's collection will see a further drop with Rajinikanth's Kaala and Chris Patt's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom releasing. However, it will manage to rake in Rs 120 crore in its lifetime run. In the meantime, share with us your thoughts about the movie in the comments section below!
