Till now, the film has earned Rs 106.12 crore and will soon surpass the lifetime business of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 108.46 crore) to become the third highest grosser of 2018. Looking at the current performance of the film we are expecting it to cross Rs 110 crore mark by the end of its third week.
Based on Harinder Sikka's book Calling Sehmat, the story of the film Raazi revolves around a young Kashmiri girl who gets married to a Pakistani Army officer and becomes a spy to give inside information about the neighbouring country to protect her own. Apart from the movie buffs, the film received praises from industry members as well.
Actress Kangana Ranaut praised Alia's performance and film by saying, “I really liked ‘Raazi’. It was awesome. Meghna (Gulzar) did a splendid job with the film. I think her film is going to cross Rs 100 crore at the box office. “I have no words to express performance of Alia (Bhatt) in the film. She is so good in the film. Meghna and Alia invited me on the trial of their film but I couldn’t attend it because I was busy shooting for my film, then I promised them that I will watch the film soon. I am going to send Alia a congratulatory message for her film. I think Alia is most definitely undisputed queen. Its Alia’s world and we are just living in it.”
