Avengers: Infinity War is all set to beat the record previously set by Fate of the Furious. With the incredibly positive word-of-mouth, the movie has theatres jam-packed with Marvel fans. In the US market, the movie has already had a record high opening day with, coming second to Star Wars: Force Awakens' $248 million collections. Well, the movie is facings it only enemy - time. Or else it would have beaten many other box office records. But as the clock ticks, the superhero movie is getting closer to beat the box office record being the highest worldwide opener set by 2017's action flick Fate of the Furious, which minted $541.9 million over the weekend.
As per early estimates by trade experts, including Ramesh Bala, Avengers: Infinity War will definitely earn more than the Fate of the Furious' number over the three day weekend. By achieving so, the movie will also beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the worldwide box office ($529 million). All we have to do is wait for a few hours and the result will be with us - whether Furious maintains the spot or AIW dethrones it.
Avengers: Infinity War has already earned the title of the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe opener to date. The movie, though it seemed tough, has managed to beat Black Panther and The Avengers. BollywoodLife absolutely loved the movie. We wrote in our 4.5-star review, “This movie is a must-watch. Avengers: Infinity War gets silly when it tries to pack humour at places where you feel like crying your heart out. It gets unimaginably passionate when it brings our mighty heroes and the vicious villain face-to-face. And goes without saying that it crushes your heart by the time it ends. As I was saying in the opening…Avengers: Infinity War is passionate, silly, and heartbreaking – just like first love!”
