Milan Luthria's Baadshaho had a good Monday as well. The film has crossed the Rs 50-crore mark in four days and is most likely to be a blockbuster. After making Rs 43 crore over the weekend, Baadshaho made Rs 6.82 crore on Monday. The heist drama is set in the Emergency period of the 1970s and stars Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi is pivotal roles. It is Emraan Hashmi's performance that has impressed the masses and classes the most. People are also loving the kickass action sequences. The chartbuster Mere Rashke Qamar and the sizzling chemistry between Ajay and Ileana D'Cruz are another highlights.
Baadshaho has broken Emraan Hashmi's box office jinx and is Ileana D'Cruz's third consecutive box office hit. It is also a resounding comeback for Milan Luthria who had a film release after 2013. Baadshaho made more than Rs 12 crores on Friday and above Rs 15 crores on the weekend. The word of mouth publicity for the film is also good. The film which has the same magical team of the 2010 blockbuster, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai is in a celebratory mood. The success of smaller films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Savdhan and now Baadshaho has somewhat lifted the gloomy clouds over the box office. The film is reportedly made at a budget of around Rs 80 crore including the advertising and publicity. It has already reportedly recovered Rs 101 crore through satellite rights, music and distribution.
This is indeed a clean hit at all levels. Ajay Devgn's last film Shivaay (2016) took almost a month to enter the 100-crore club. Baadshaho is racing towards that figure. Stay tuned to Bollywood Life for more scoop and updates...
