Going by the figures it seems Neeraj Pandey's directorial venture is still pulling in crowd to the theaters. And it won't be long before it crosses the Rs 100 crore mark...
Akshay Kumar's second outing with Neeraj Pandey has also turned out to be successful. Though Baby co-starring Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu didn't witness an earth-shattering opening, it has done good business at the box office despite not being a solo release. The action thriller is in its second week and so far it has managed to rake in Rs 76.47 crore. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on the popular social networking site Twitter, "#Baby has excellent growth on Sunday. [Week 2] Fri 2.85 cr, Sat 3.99 cr, Sun 5.81 cr. Grand total - 76.47 cr. India biz."
Last Friday, three films hit the screens together - Khamoshiyan, Hawaizaada and Rahasya. While Vikram Bhatt's latest offering Khamoshiyan may fare decently at the ticket windows, the other two films haven't really made their presence felt at the BO so far. And that's one big reason why Akki's Baby will continue to rake in good moolah in the coming days as well.
However, Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan's Shamitabh is releasing come Friday which means Neeraj Pandey directorial will have to mint as much money as possible in this week itself.
