Akki's latest outing is still getting cash registers jingling and we won't be surprised if it becomes the first film of 2015 to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club....
Neeraj Pandey and Akshay Kumar's second collaboration Baby has turned out to be a crowd puller. The action thriller, which released on January 23 alongside Sonam Kapoor starrer Dolly Ki Doli, has been consistently raking in good money at the box office. The film is in its second week and has already minted Rs 78.67 crore. Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh wrote on popular social networking site Twitter, "#Baby [Week 2] Fri 2.85 cr, Sat 3.99 cr, Sun 5.81 cr, Mon 2.20 cr. Grand total - 78.67 cr. India biz." Well, if Neeraj Pandey's directorial venture continues its good run at the box office then it won't be long before it surpasses the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic turf.
In that case, Khiladi Kumar will have to throw a success bash once again because the actor recently celebrated the success of Baby along with his team and cast members. He even wrote Twitter, "It's celebration time for Team #Baby! Thank u for all the love & appreciation! This moment is only courtesy u guys."
Since there has been no big release, Baby has been ruling at the box office. But this Friday Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan starrer Shamitabh is releasing. So box office collection of Akshay starrer will get affected.
