Director Sujoy Ghosh's Badla has already turned out to be a hit at the box office after its opening weekend due to its controlled budget and economics. In its first three days, the thriller raked in Rs 23.20 crore and with this total, it has surpassed the first weekend business of Pink and 102 Not to become one of the best opening weekend grossers of Amitabh Bachchan in the recent times.

We have not taken films like Thugs of Hindostan, Aarakshan and Satyagraha in the list as these films are multi-starrers. The solid trend in the weekend ensures that the film will hold well in the weekdays. The thriller, which is produced Azure Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment also stars Amrita Singh and Manav Kaul in key roles.
Apart from the domestic market, the film has managed to perform well in the international markets as well. Since three Bollywood films, Photograph, Mere Pyaare Prime Minister and Milan Talkies are releasing this week, it will be interesting to see how Badla will perform at the ticket windows.
