The weekend that went by was indeed special. Salman Khan's first film of 2015 released on the weekend and as expected, it created a dhamaka at the box office. The Kabir Khan film which also starrerd Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhortra received a lot of appreciation from the fans as well as critics.
Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan has already surpassed records created by his last year's Eid release Kick. The Salman - Jacqueline Fernandez starrer had minted Rs 88.83 crore in three days. Kabir's latest release has made Rs 38.75 crore on Sunday. The film collected Rs 27.25 crore on Friday and Rs 36.50 crore on Saturday. Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#BajrangiBhaijaan won hearts, acclaim... now emerges TRIUMPHANT at the BO. Fri 27.25 cr, Sat 36.60 cr, Sun 38.75 cr. Total: ₹ 102.60 cr." With this, the Salman - Kareena starrer holds the record of being the third fastest film to enter the Rs 100 crore club. Happy New Year, had collected 108.86 crore in 3 days, while Dhoom 3 had collected 107.61 crore in its opening weekend.
BB has become the Being Human actor's eighth Rs 100 crore film. With no big release this week and a good word of mouth, we won't be surprised if Bajrangi Bhaijaan creates a new record and surpasses the one created by Aamir Khan's PK in the last year.
