Batti Gul Meter Chalu box office collection day 4: Shahid Kapoor's film witnesses a noticeable dip, earns Rs 26.42 crore

BGMC is expected to be an average affair at the box office

After an ordinary weekend, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu witnessed a noticeable dip on its first Monday at the ticket windows. The social drama raked in Rs 3.16 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 26.42 crore. Looking at the trend, we are expecting the film to earn around Rs 35 crore in its first week at the box office. So, it means the film will be more like an average affair at the ticket windows. Since Shahid Kapoor was coming after the grand success of Padmaavat, Batti Gul Meter Chalu was expected to perform well but it seems the film failed to strike the chord with the audience. Though the movie buffs have loved the performance of Shasha in the film.
