BL Predicts: Manmarziyaan to open with decent numbers despite 9 releases

This Friday, Bollywood will entertain us with not one or two, but nine releases which include Manmarziyan, Mitron, Lupt, Hotel Milan, Falsafa, Turning Point, 22 Days and Kathor. But surprisingly, apart from Manmarziyaan, none of the films have created a buzz among the movie buffs. Though the trailer and songs of Mitron have received an average response from the cine-goers.

So first let's talk about Manmarziyaan, the romantic drama featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Known for directing dark and hard-hitting films like Black Friday, No Smoking, Raman Raghav 2.0 and Gangs of Wasseypur franchise, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has gone out of his comfort zone with Manmarziyaan. The trailer and music of the film received a huge thumbs up from the audience. Though it is strictly targeted towards the multiplexes in the metro cities. The presence of Abhishek Bachchan, who is making a comeback after two years has also helped the film to become a hot topic among the movie buffs. Talking about its first-day business, Manmarziyaan should open between Rs 4.75 crore and Rs 5.50 crore at the box office. Post its opening day, the film's business will totally depend on word of the mouth to have a substantial growth over the weekend.

Coming to Mitron, the Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra starrer film is expected to earn around Rs 1 crore at the ticket windows. Rajkummar Rao, Manoj Bajpayee and Richa Chadha's Love Sonia which has garnered accolades at many film festivals will open around Rs 50 lakh on its first day. So, out of these films, which is your pick for the weekend? Tweet to us to let us know...
