10 days back, we saw Hollywood biggie Avengers: Endgame taking the box office by storm and shattered many records at the ticket windows. In fact, the superhero film crushed Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike to become the highest grosser of the year and also became the first Western venture to enter the Rs 300 crore club in India. But now, the MCU film has slowed down its pace at the ticket windows and the new release, which is Student of the Year will definitely affect its business at the box office.
Talking about Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria starrer Student of the Year 2, the high-school musical drama has been in the news since its announcement. The film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens in November last year but was pushed ahead by the makers to May, so that it can take the advantage of summer vacations, where kids and family will come in large numbers to watch the film. And since Tiger is very popular among kids and college going crowd, we are sure that these target group will definitely watch the film on its first day.
Looking at the current scenario, we are expecting Student of the Year 2 to earn around Rs 12 crore on its first day. Well, the collections can escalate if the positive reviews start coming from the audience and critics from the morning shows. Since the film, does not have any major competition at the box office, we are expecting SOTY 2 to turn out to be a money-spinner at the ticket windows.
Also starring Aditya Seal and Samir Soni, Student of the Year 2 is directed by Punit Malhotra, who previously helmed I Hate Luv Storys and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. It is produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions. The music of the film is composed by Vishal-Shekhar. So, are you planning to watch the film first-day-first-show?
