Black Panther BEATS Star Wars: The Force Awakens to record the all time highest Monday collection in America

Black Panther is now the all time highest Monday grosser at the American box office!

Black Panther, Marvel's first black standalone superhero film, is breaking record left, right and centre. The movie has been raking in the moolah ever since it released on February 16, however wait till you hear the film's latest achievement. After raking in a massive amount of $202 million over the first weekend in America, Black Panther added another $40.15 million on day 4 (first Monday) in the country. This makes it the all time highest Monday grosser at the American box office. If you look at the first Monday collections of all the films released till date, you will realise what we are trying to say. Star Wars: The Force Awakens held this record earlier with a Monday collection of $40.10 million. However, Black Panther ($40.15 million) as edged it out by the slightest of margins to record the all time highest Monday box office collection in America.

Apart from this latest record, Black Panther has also become the best reviewed movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel's second highest opening weekend grosser in America. It is also the highest opening day and opening weekend grosser for a debut standalone superhero film. But the film is not done yet! With a tremendous word of mouth publicity still flowing for Black Panther, we are sure the film will sustain well over the first week and keep raking in the moolah.
