After a fantastic opening at the worldwide box office, Marvel's Black Panther has grown over the first weekend and raked in a massive amount. The film has broken several records, but that is nothing compared to the money it has managed to earn at the box office! According to the latest trade estimates published by The Hollywood Reporter, Black Panther has apparently raked in $410 million at the worldwide market. In the USA - Canada market alone, the latest superhero release has managed to earn approximately $240 million over the opening weekend. It has earned near about $170 million in the international market too. Add these two and you will realise how Black Panther has gross such a humongous amount.

For the uninitiated, Black Panther is the first black standalone superhero film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It revolves around the story of T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) after he takes over the throne of the African nation of Wakanda, post the death of his father. How he tries to maintain law and order, even while several factions oppose him, makes up the rest of the story. This intriguing storyline along with the fantastic visuals, perfect execution and stellar performances meant that the people and critics loved the movie. They have been raving about the movie on social media and this has given rise to a tremendous word of mouth publicity, which in turn, helped the movie grow in terms of footfalls and collections. Black Panther has also been named as the best reviewed Marvel film after registering a 98 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s so far one of the best superhero films you must have seen." And even after the opening weekend, the buzz around the film has not died down.
