Black Panther takes a fantastic opening in China, rakes in $1.56 million through mid night previews

Marvel's Black Panther finally releases in China and takes the box office by storm!

Marvel's Black Panther has been on a record breaking spree at the worldwide box office. Be it the American, Indian, UK or any other market, the superhero film has raked in a large amount of money everywhere across the globe. And while it was released in several markets on February 16, the movie had not hit the China theatres till now. The film is all set to release in China today (March 09), however even before its release, the film has taken a fantastic opening! Not has it reached $10 million dollars in advance sales for day one, but it has also raked in $1.56, million through midnight paid previews last night. As trade analyst and industry tracker, Ramesh Bala revealed to us on Twitter, "#BlackPanther Opens in #China today. Did $1.56 Million last night mid-night previews. With nation's 35% of the screens playing it, already reached $10 Million in adv sales for today."

Black Panther has been a huge hit at the box office across the world. This has been possible courtesy the huge pre release buzz, the wide release, the strong content, the stunning screenplay and great reviews. The critics as well as the audience has been raving about the movie. With such a tremendous word of mouth publicity, Black Panther was surely going to rake in the moolah. The curiosity amongst the mind of the Chinese people as to what is so good in Black Panther that it is breaking records across the globe, plus the track record of the previous superhero films, makes us believe that the Marvel film will earn huge amounts at the Chinese box office.
