Neeraj Pandey and Akki’s second collaboration has turned out to be a huge crowd puller…
Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon, Madhurima Tuli and Danny Danzongpa starrer Baby becomes the first film in 2015 to enter the Rs 100 crore club. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film released on January 23 and got off to a good start. Despite not being a solo release, Akshay starrer has managed to get cash registers jingling and is still faring well at the ticket windows. On the opening day, the film collected Rs 9.3 crore and then went on to earn Rs 11.17 crore on day 2 (Saturday). On day 3 (Sunday) and day 4 (Monday). Baby pulled in crowd to the theaters as well and ended up minting Rs 50.97 crore in first four days. And as of now the total domestic box office collection of Khiladi Kumar’s action thriller stands at Rs 92 crore which is indeed impressive.
While the overall worldwide collections have made the film cross the Rs 100 crore mark. The film has been appreciated by everyone. It will be great to see a good film enter the Rs 100 crore mark in the domestic market as well. While Baby is currently ruling at the box office, things could get tough with the release of Qissa and Badlapur this week. Other films like Shamitabh and Roy couldn't make a mark at at the box office. However, MSG: The Messenger may soon be entering the Rs 100 crore club. The film has till now earned Rs 89.29 crore in just six days, which is very impressive.
