Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Kabir Singh has turned out to be a game changer for its lead actor Shahid Kapoor at the box office. Despite being an Adult film, the intense love story has received a tremendous response from the audience and is now all set to enter the Rs 100 crore club today at the ticket windows. Well, with this feat, it will become Shahid Kapoor's first solo film to hit the century as Padmaavat was a multi-starrer with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone playing key roles in it.
The film will enter the Rs 100 crore club in 5 days flat and since it has garnered positive reviews from the audience, we are expecting the film to hold well in its second weekend as well. Well, the film has a strong chance to even cross the Rs 200 crore mark at the ticket windows.
As per Shahid Kapoor, the film has a unique approach, which attracted him towards it. "It's what attracted me to the film in the first place. I believe there is a Kabir Singh inside everyone. That's why people can relate to him so easily." Talking about the film, it narrates the story of Kabir (Shahid), a young final year medical student who falls in love with Preeti, his junior in college. Kiara essays the role of a simple college girl Preeti in the film. It is a remake of the popular Telugu movie Arjun Reddy that originally starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey.
