It's not just the Indian audiences, the international audiences too seemed to have liked Akshay - Sid's stint
Karan Malhotra's latest offering, Brothers starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez, was off to a slow start Friday morning, However, as the day progressed the film picked up pace due to the great reviews and the positive word of mouth it has been receiving. The action drama finished its first weekend at Rs 52.08 crores at the domestic box office becoming the second highest opener of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But looks like Akshay and Sid have managed to impress fans overseas as well. The first weekend collection of the film at the international market is Rs 15.77 crores.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently shared the figures on Twitter. He tweeted, "#Brothers Overseas opening weekend: $ 2.41 million [₹ 15.77 cr]. Performed best in UAE-GCC."
Given that there are no big releases in the coming week and that the positive word of mouth continues to grow, the film is expected to continue its splendid run at the box office. Stay tuned as we bring in daily updates on Brothers box office collections!
