Commando 3 is the biggest release of the week. The film is the third of the franchise. Vidyut Jammwal's Commando 3 has made Rs 4.74 crore net on day one. This is quite decent given the mixed reviews from the critics. The maximum collections have happened in Mumbai and Delhi followed by Punjab and Rajasthan. In the film, Vidyut Jammwal plays major Karan Vir Dogra who has to catch a terrorist mastermind behind the indoctrination of youth. The topic is quite relevant but the treatment is rather over the top and problematic at times. Vidyut Jammwal is terrific in the action sequences but is let down by a poor climax.
The film also has Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar. The girls do brilliantly in the fight sequence in the end. Guys are liking the film for the action sequences. Vidyut Jammwal is very graceful even in the fights as he kicks, flips and punches the baddies.
BollywoodLife wrote in its review, "Vidyut Jammwal powers the film with his screen presence and action chops. He kicks, punches and flips with exquisite grace. The actor has good screen presence and his entry is like a typical Bollywood hero. The two heroines, Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar come into their own during the climax and are terrific in the fight scenes. It is fun to see a film where women get to kick butt as much as the men. Among the supporting cast, Virendra Saxena gives a powerful performance as the law-abiding father of a radical youth." Stay tuned to BL for more updates.
