Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree is turning out to be a dark horse at the ticket windows. Despite the release of films like Manmarziyan, Mitron and Love Sonia, the horror comedy has refused to slow down at the box office. In fact, the Wednesday collections of Manmarziyan and Stree are almost same. It raked in Rs 1.42 crore yesterday and now stands with the total collections of Rs 111.07 crore.
By looking at the current scenario, we are expecting the film to end its theatrical run around Rs 120 thus making it a blockbuster. It is currently the sixth highest grosser of the year after Sanju, Padmaavat, Race 3, Baaghi 2 and Raazi. Stree has turned out to be the first Rs 100 crore film of Rajkummar Rao. Apparently, many actors like Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh, Kartik Aaryan entered the elite club this year.
Talking about the film, Stree is directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K, who are known for helming films Go Goa Gone, Happy Ending and Shor In The City. It also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles. Anyway, do you think it has the potential to beat the lifetime business of Alia Bhatt's Raazi?
