Dil Dhadakne Do box office collection: Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh's latest film earns Rs 47.91 crore!

Dil Dhadakne Do which released last Friday amidst lot of fanfare has done good business at the Indian and the overseas box office. Starring Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Rahul Bose, the eccentric drama was touted as the most stylish film of this year. With a stellar star cast and a director like Zoya, expectation were obviously high from this film. And going by the box office figures, I think its safe to say that DDD has indeed lived up to all the hype and expectations. While the film already inching towards the Rs 50 crore club in India, in no time it will cross the Rs 100 mark overseas.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the updated domestic figures a while back. He wrote on the popular social networking site Twitter, "#DilDhadakneDo Fri 10.53 cr, Sat 12.27 cr, Sun 14.25 cr, Mon 5.77 cr, Tue 5.09 cr. Total - 47.91 cr. India biz. STEADY."

The trade ported reported, "Dil Dhadakne was steady on Tuesday with collections around 5 crore nett. The film should do around 55 crore nett plus in the first week which will be the third highest first week collection of 2015 after Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Gabbar Is Back."

So far Priyanka and Ranveer starrer has managed to pull in crowd to the cinema halls but with Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan-Rajkummar Rao starrer Hamari Adhuri Kahani hitting the theatres this Friday, things could change at the box office in the coming days. So let's wait and watch!
